Muslim Cemetery Rules
All Muslims shall have the right to be buried in the Muslim Cemetery of San Antonio.
No reservation of the grave site(s) will be permitted. Only the gravesite immediately next to an occupied one, in compliance with the master plan, will be used.
No structure shall be allowed on top of the grave site(s) except for a grave marker with at most the following information on it: the name and dates of birth and death of the deceased.
Islamic laws govern all matters concerning this cemetery
Only Muslim male, female and children are allowed to be buried in this cemetery
The deceased or the deceased’s family only has interment rights and they do not own any part of the cemetery
The deceased’s family agrees to abide by all rules and policies of this cemetery
The deceased’s family must directly contact the cemetery funeral coordinator
Funeral procedure must be conducted by the cemetery funeral coordinator
Access to the cemetery is only allowed during daylight hours
All graves must be flush to the ground
All headstones must be flush to the ground
Parking is allowed only on gravel road
Proper Islamic dress must be observed at all times by all visitors and genders
During burial, all individuals must not walk over any graves
Please avoid making noises or walking on top of the graves.
Muslim Cemetery Prohibitions:
No structures of cement, bricks, clay, marble, wood, or any other decorative building materials are allowed
No writing, inscriptions, symbols, statues, or related items are allowed
No fencing is allowed around the grave
No walking, standing, or sitting is allowed on the grave
No memorial tree or plant of any kind placed upon any grave is allowed
No dumping of trash is allowed, and all trash must be carried by visitor and the deceased’s family
No loud wailing or screaming is allowed at the cemetery
No pets or animals are allowed in cemetery
No body can be buried in this Muslim cemetery without the permission of Muslim Cemetery Coordinator.

During sunset
During high noon
During nigh
